Conservation Easement Monitoring Training Workshop

GMCG’s Stewardship Program is looking for volunteers to monitor properties under conservation. We are seeking your help to “adopt” a property to visit once or twice a year and report on conditions. If you enjoy walking in woods and along old stone walls among the trees and fields, then you’ve got what it takes to help monitor conservation land.

At this easement monitoring training workshop with GMCG’s Land Trust Coordinator, Chris Young, you will learn about monitoring procedures and equipment, we will teach you orienteering skills and field observation methods, and by day’s end you will be a trained easement steward! Bring a compass, lunch and be prepared to be outside!
