Drinking Water, Your Health, and How to Protect Both – Presentation with Pierce Rigrod

TAMWORTH– The Tamworth Groundwater Protection Ordinance Committee, in partnership with the Cook Memorial Library, will hold an informational session on Wednesday, November 9 at 6:30 p.m. online via Zoom.

The water we drink is essential for life but too often contains chemicals – either naturally occurring or human-caused – that can lead to serious health problems. In Tamworth, groundwater is the source of most people’s drinking water. Pierce Rigrod, from N.H. Department of Environmental Services’ drinking water program, will talk about groundwater contaminants, how they may impact human health and what can be done on the town and individual levels to keep drinking water safe in Tamworth.
