Forrest and Laura have worked on several dozen lakes in New Hampshire to help advance lake improvement and conservation efforts. Specifically, they worked collaboratively with the Green Mountain Conservation Group and the New Hampshire Department of Environmental Services for several years to help develop watershed management plans for the Ossipee Lakes & Bays and Danforth Ponds. The goal of this workshop is to help move the Plans into Actions which will take the effort of many stakeholders and individuals. Their presentation will feature examples of other successful regional lake protection efforts and they will also highlight some Best Management Practices for shorefront landowners to prevent potential problems due to faulty septic systems, erosion and stormwater runoff.
