Winter Kids’ Camp

Kids in grades one through six are invited to explore, learn and play for a day at GMCG’s Conservation Center during February Vacation Week. The day will feature Native American storytelling and games, animal tracking, snow shelter and fort building, snowshoeing, dreamcatcher making and animal tracks bookmark making.
GMCG education staff and retired educator and nature enthusiast Barbara Bald will lead a day of exploration in nature, creativity, and fun.
The cost is $50 per child, including all instruction, snowshoes, snack and hot cocoa for the day.

9-9:15 a.m. Arrivals, introductions, housekeeping items
9:15-10:15 a.m. Outdoor snow shelter building
10:15-10:30 a.m. Cocoa, tea & snack
10:30-11 a.m. Nature themed games
11-12 p.m. Stories, animal track bookmark crafting, music with Barbara
12-12:30 p.m. Lunch (with music)
12:30-1:30 p.m. Snowshoeing and animal tracking outdoors
1:30-2:30 p.m. Stories, dreamcatcher crafting indoors
2:30-3 p.m. Finish snow shelter making or other activity
3 p.m. Departure
