The holiday gift-giving season is here, and Green Mountain Conservation Group (GMCG) has created a way for supporters of conservation to celebrate local businesses while supporting GMCG’s work to protect clean water. Its Fall Online Auction offers unique gifts, memorable experiences, and local treasures, with proceeds supporting watershed protection and science education.
The auction opens Friday, November 6, 2026, at 5 p.m. and closes Sunday, November 15, at 9 p.m. Hosted on BiddingOwl, the fundraiser invites shoppers to find thoughtful gifts while contributing to the health of the Ossipee Watershed.
Local businesses, artists, craftspeople, service providers, and generous individuals have contributed their talents, creations, and experiences to make the auction possible. Their donations reflect a shared commitment to protecting the clean water that sustains the region’s homes, businesses, wildlife, and outdoor recreation.
Auction proceeds support GMCG’s nonprofit mission through water quality monitoring, land conservation, and watershed science education. These programs help identify threats to local waters, conserve forests and wetlands, and provide hands-on learning opportunities for students and community members. Each winning bid helps advance this work and encourages the next generation to understand and care for local water resources.
Community members are encouraged to browse, bid, and share the auction with friends and family.
