GMCG to lead nature walks during “Party in the Park” in Ossipee June 24th
The 2023 Friends of Constitution Park (FCPO) “Party in the Park” celebration will be on June 24th from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Constitution Park in Ossipee. At 12:30 p.m. the event will feature nature hikes on a new interpretive trail designed and installed by Green Mountain Conservation Group AmeriCorps members Hailey Williams and Grace Kennedy. Children 14 and under who come and walk the interpretive nature trail with GMCG AmeriCorps members will receive a coupon for a free kiddie cone at Bobby Sue’s Homemade Ice Cream in Freedom off of Highway 153. This coupon is valid just for the days of June 24th and June 25th, so bring the kids to the trail, enjoy the festivities at Constitution Park and then head down the road for ice cream!
Other activities organized by the FCPO will include Touch a Truck’ hosted by Ossipee Recreation, children’s games, disc golf, cornhole and spike ball, a pickleball demo, dog demonstrations. Children under seven must be accompanied by an adult. Food trucks will be on site. This event is free and open to the public.
